LO1 M1 - Comparison of different platforms

What is a platform? A platform is an environment in which an algorithm is executed, this can be in the form of software, a website or application, all requiring some form of user interaction and input. For example Snapchat is a social media platform in which users can send photos, play games and talk with each other. Websites Websites are multiple webpages which are very versatile however are mostly used to display content, in most cases the interaction comes from the navigation between different webpages. They are a very dated platform however they will more than likely remain very popular. Accessibility - the term describing how easily people may be able to use a product or how easily they can get a product to use, for example Netflix is more accessible than call of duty as you can only play call of duty on a pc or console but you can watch Netflix on your laptop, pc, console and phone which means it is more accessible to users, this usually is to do with disabilities. the 2010 Equality act was initiated in order to ensure all people have equal rights and are treated as equals inside of the workplace, this will eliminate discrimination against minorities within
