Image Optimisation
Here I started with an image 1.3MB in size, although this doesn't seem too big in size, for a website this is huge, so I set out on making it lower than 300KB, to start I changed the file type to a JPG to start which seemed lowest, then lowered the scale and quality to a point where it was small enough whilst retaining quality, from this I had a smaller image but it improved my performance speed, this process is also known as lossless compression as the file size is smaller without losing quality. I have optimized this image by condensing the file size down, this is in order to ensure sites open and run at the optimum speeds so that customers get the best quality speeds and experience, for this I made sure all images were under 300kb in size, to assure this I found that with any form of gradients with my art, a JPG is the smallest file, and if it isn't small enough then I made the image smaller and lower in quality, this had to be done to a certain degree though as it is easy ...
