Client Feedback

Positives: The background image across the site is striking and unique; excellent use of Photoshop to manipulate this.     There is a good range of interactive content and well selected videos that will appeal to the users.   The menu system is excellent and clearly communicates to the user where they are in their journey on the site.   Areas for improvement: There is no GDPR/Data protection statement on the contact form.  Please include some text on this page so that the user is aware of how their data will be used when they submit the form.   In the genres section the font changes – please pick a consistent font to ensure that the brand image runs across the site.     The ‘My recommendations’ page still contains placeholder text. Please replace with content as discussed.   The homepage needs some more interactive content to engage the user.  Please include a carousel and break down the text with sub-he...

Interactivity Justification

Image
For this project I intend on making a music website which will be used to inspire users and also doubles as a microblogging site in which I can engage with my audience.  I plan on adding a few interactive features, mostly including embedded videos from YouTube but also having a comment section in which people can come into contact with me by adding in their name and then have a comment section to ask any questions of give any feedback. Moreover, the videos serve the purpose of educating and also inspiring users, and possibly some entertainment can come from listening to music and watching videos. For my images most of the ones in my website will actually be illustrations made my myself in Photoshop or perhaps some will be photos of myself edited. However I will also be sourcing some images or videos from Pexels as those are royalty free, also there is younger photos of myself from the internet however as they are of me I believe I should be okay to use them. The reason I have chose...

Legal and Ethical Considerations

In this report I shall highlight any potential legal or ethical issues that I may face through the creation of this website and discuss the procedures i have undergone to remove as many of these issues as possible to ensure my website is appropriate and safe for my target audience to consume. My website is a Microblogging site in which I share my story of how I became a musician and also will give insight as to how to find inspiration for music, the target audience of my website being musicians aged 14-16. Copyright -  This is in reference to someone using someone else's product as a means to make profit, it was orchestrated in 1988 in the UK to stop people from making money from other people's work by claiming it as their own. In my case I have embedded music from YouTube, I shouldn't have any issues due to the links being embedded form the copyright holders channel so they will receive all profits and add revenue from me using it, this was my intention due to the whole re...
