LO2 - Brief Proposal

 For this I will be making a website based around music, it will be to allow me to share anything I am currently working on or anything I am interested in. Moreover I will be reviewing any music that is trending at the minute or possibly as my house style will be a retro one with some modernistic aspects in it. The purpose of this website is to allow myself to promote my image and build an identity through engagement with my audience and sharing ideas to do with music. This will a great way to grow into a prosumer and create a social identity. The website will be both informative and entertaining providing a lot of content related to my desired genre and also will give my opinions and an insight into the journey behind all of my projects. Moreover it is a great way to draw viewers into my social media channels for example my Spotify, Instagram and Youtube as through those channels I can make a profit.

The target audience of my product is 15- 25 year olds with a passion for music and people who possibly aspire to make music themselves. Knowing this I will be ensuring that a large quantity of my website includes content or links to resources that could possibly aid them in their progress, some of which will be filmed by myself to inspire and teach young drummers how to improve and play better. Moreover, since my target audience is also people who play music, i feel it is important for them to be able to communicate with me and also have the opportunity to build a community with me where we can share our work and possibly collaborate on projects together, this will expand to  my other social sites such as youtube and instagram where i will be focusing on making music

In terms of user needs, they will need a website which is easy to navigate and use, this is as they won't want to use a website which they struggle to use. This website must be user friendly and accessible to all, it should have all important text as a text file not as large in size as a image file nor is compatible with screen reading technology so blind people would be unable to use it. Moreover, I will need to make sure that my content inside doesn't offend anyone as that could be a legal/ethical issue which may cause a lot of hate towards my website.

For client needs, as I am my own client I am fully aware of my needs:

- I need a fully functioning website as one that doesn't fully works is impractical and not suitable to user consumption

- I need my website to include interactive features to keep my audience engaged and entertained

- The website will need to load and run relatively quickly so that it is to professional standard

- It will need to allow me to directly get in contact with people who send me messages to questions

- It will need to promote my brand and identity and also educate audiences on music and how its made

I decided to create a website for this instead of other interactive products such as an app or kiosk as it is more relevant to my clients needs. It needs to be available on an a global scale and  it is normally going to be accessed from a pc or laptop aside from a phone or kiosk, this is as most people interested in music have a desk setup where they do all of their work and research, it also allows them a larger screen size and is more user friendly towards people with disabilities. It also means that it will be constantly updated for when I release new content as people will want the latest information and to be up to date. Moreover, websites have a faster loading time then apps as most phones and tablets run much slower than a computer.

It will need to provide content which can help teach new artists my style. Moreover, my site will include a floating menu to provide better ease of access to the user, along with the

    This will be the first thing that a user will see, it will contain the most recent and important information but for the most part I will be adding photos and images to make it look appealing

    This will contain a series of blogs and videos showing anything that I am working on and will be a way for me to engage directly with my audience

    For this I will have the three genres which I like to work in

    - Rock 

    - Pop

    - EDM

        These will all contain my thought process and techniques while making music in these     genres

- New releases

    This will contain embedded videos of the new music releases form popular artists

- This week' top 10

    This will have the top 10 songs in the charts for the week

- My recommendations

    This is where I will recommend any music that I personally enjoy to allow people to listen
